Elizabeth isn’t chasing trophies or a WrestleMania spotlight; she’s focused on something far more meaningful: building muscle and strength to support her health and family. With osteopenia, two young kids, a busy career, and a goal to stay strong as she ages, she’s determined to prioritize her well-being.

Setting Clear Goals for Building Muscle and Strength

When Elizabeth joined Pledge To Fitness in September 2023, she shared her goals with Coach Viviana: to build muscle and strength. These were her specific objectives:

  • Prevent fractures and improve bone density.
  • Be able to lift her husband in an emergency.
  • Build muscle without losing or gaining weight.

Setting clear, achievable fitess goals is essential for staying motivated and focused. It provides a roadmap to measure progress and celebrate milestones along the way.

Personalized Training and Real Progress

Paired with her trainer Viviana, Elizabeth dove into strength training. When she first started, lifting 60 pounds felt like a big accomplishment. Fast forward to today: she’s now deadlifting 160 pounds, just 30 shy of her goal.

“Elizabeth’s dedication is incredible,” says Viviana. “She’s focused and willing to push through every challenge. Watching her grow stronger every session is so rewarding.”

Staying Consistent and Finding Motivation

Elizabeth’s favorite exercise is bent-over rows with dumbbells, though walking lunges remain her least favorite. Regardless, she sticks to her plan, working out two 30-minute sessions a week. Nutrition has been her biggest challenge, but she’s learned to keep things simple. Her advice? “Stay away from dessert!”

Elizabeth also looks forward to Pledge’s monthly 3D body scans. “Seeing muscle and strength gains visually is so motivating—it’s one of my favorite parts,” she says.

Balancing Family, Work, and Fitness

As a mom of two—Elena (7) and Jacob (4)— and a thriving executive, Elizabeth skillfully balances family life, her career, and her fitness journey. She prioritizes nutritious meals, often featuring proteins, veggies, and beans. Her son playfully notes how Mommy’s favorite food has changed over time: “Two years ago, it was wine. Now it’s salad.”

Inspiring Healthy Habits at Home

Elizabeth also uses her fitness journey to teach her kids the importance of healthy habits. “I want them to see that taking care of yourself is a priority,” she shares.

Her strength gains has also had a direct impact at home. She recalls how her husband fell last year and how helpless she felt. “Now, I know I’m getting closer to being able to help him without injuring myself,” she says.

“Being stronger makes life easier,” she says. “I love the way my arms look now. I’m not trying to lose weight—I’m building muscle and balance. That’s what feels healthy to me.”
